I am delighted to be co-creating a yoga and walking retreat at the magical Rumleigh Farm, in the Tamar Valley, Dartmoor, for 3 nights over a long weekend (Friday 30th May - June 2nd).
This has all come about due to my amazing friend Laura Grace, who runs wellness retreats on the wyld side through Wyld Grace, she has invited me to co-host a retreat this summer at a truly magical spot in one of her favourite hiking areas in the Tamar Valley.
Laura is a perhaps a little obsessed with finding magical spots and running retreats there - and after hosting retreats all over the world, she very good at it! She is VERY excited about the wonder of Rumleigh a little treasure right here in the UK. Me too. We would love for you to join us there this summer.

The retreat will have a relaxed schedule where everything is optional: two yoga sessions a day and hiking in the afternoons - with indulgent ethical food by Sartori (they will even make you a packed lunch for your adventures). You can be a sociable or as hermit as you wish. Swim in the river, sunbathe, roam the gardens, journal, curl up by the fire, read a book, journal, relax. Or venture out on one of Laura's guided walks on Dartmoor.

Daily schedule:

9.30 - 10am: Breakfast by Sartori Food
11-4pm Adventures and Exploring - self led or with the group the choice is yours

About Rumleigh Farm:

The Farm is a rare, idyllic treasure hidden away in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is set in 17 acres including riverside access, a beautiful apple orchard, poly tunnel, veg garden, wood fired hot tub and stunning private gardens. The farmstead has been in existence since before the Domesday Book.
Nestled in the Tamar Valley on the banks of the River Tamar, the border between Devon and Cornwall, the farm is completely surrounded by nature. One of those rare places that you feel completely cut off from the rest of the world. A true resting place, situated on lay lines and with that deep feeling of calm that you normally only find in old churches and ancient forests.
The farmstead is a mixture of ancient buildings and some which are converted to allow for a luxurious get-away feel. The owners at Rumleigh Farm have set out to be as environmentally friendly as possible. They sustainably farm rare breed sheep, goats and heritage apple varieties and are currently going through conversion with the Soil Association to be completely organic.
Your Hosts! Laura + Bethan (me!)
I met Laura in 2008 when she came to my first ever regular yoga class in Bristol (at the School of Exceptional Arts). Back then there was a juke box in the corner, circus skills equipment on the walls, a cold concrete floor, sometimes a few dogs, and a helluva lot of passion for Ashtanga yoga!

Laura then moved to Scotland to be a full time yogi, managing a yoga retreat centre known as ecoYoga for 10 years. She fell in love with the mountains up there and has combined her love of the mountains and being out in the wilderness with yoga.
She completed her Hill and Moorland Training with IBEX OUTDOORS and is a Hill and Moorland Leader with the Mountain Training Association. She is who you want with you if you get stuck up a mountain or need to find your way home (which is great as I get lost often!)

I have been teaching yoga classes in Bristol since 2008, my classes are Vinyasa Krama style, inspired by Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and Viniyoga and influenced by Tai Chi.
I trained at The Life Centre and YogaCampus, for her British Wheel of Yoga Diploma in 2008 and have subsequently taken many Ashtanga trainings (with John Scott, Richard Freeman, David Swenson and Christopher Gladwell). I studied Viniyoga with senior teacher Paul Harvey at My current teacher is Yoga Elder, Sarah Harlow who co-developed the Yogasara Krama Vinyasa Tantra teaching method. I have practised Bhakti Yoga, Movement Medicine and Internal Family Systems with Sarah over the years and am now studying on an Advanced 500 hour Teacher Training at Yogasara. I am also a certified Alexander Technique Teacher.
